Elizabeth Marie Wallen Street, 95, of Wildwood, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on March 7, 2025.
Born on December 18, 1929, Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who found joy in serving others. Throughout the years, she was an active volunteer at her church and local schools and a committed member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), Girl Scouts, and many other community organizations. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Joe C. “Pete” Wallen and Gertie Lee Smith Wallen; her beloved husband, Donald Edward Street; and her son, Philip Edward Street, brother Johnny C. Wallen
She is survived by her loving children, Donna M. Street of Trenton, GA; Kate (Mike) Cammack of Norcross, GA; and Tracy Street of Wildwood, GA; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Street of Chattanooga, TN; her granddaughters, Jordan (Dustin) Street Powell and Caroline Cammack; and her step-grandson, Corey Cresswell, sister Ruth Wallen Moore, sister-in-laws, Virginia Blevins Wallen and Pat Street, also several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the medical personnel at Hearth Hospice for their compassionate care during the last year of her life.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the Chapel of Ryan Funeral Home, with Rev. Reece Fauscett and Chaplain Steven Moore officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga. The family will receive friends at Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wildwood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Wildwood, GA 30757, or the Dade County Library, 102 Court St, Trenton, GA 30752.
Elizabeth’s legacy of love and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
