Elisha “Eli” Lee Smith, 44, of Bryant, AL, passed away at his home on Monday, November 24, 2025.
Eli was easy-going, gentle-spirited, and the kind of person everyone enjoyed being around. He had a natural way of making people laugh—sometimes without even trying—and his lighthearted humor was one of the many things that made him unforgettable. Above all, Eli loved his children and his family deeply, and he carried that love with him in everything he did. He was also a proud and loyal Alabama football fan, cheering on the Crimson Tide any chance he could.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cynthia Smith; fiancée, Misty Cole; children, Hayden Smith, Hannah (Kameron) Friar, and Brooklyn Smith; grandmother, Marquetia Casey; along with several friends and extended family members who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Smith; and grandparents Jim Casey, and Katherine and Elisha Smith Jr.
A funeral service to honor Eli’s life will be held at 1:00 PM ET on Friday, November 28, 2025, in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00–6:00 PM ET, and on Friday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
