A wreck involving two tractor trailers shut down the interstate and causes traffic delays on Highway 11 North Thursday afternoon.
According to authorities, a call came in at 2:24 pm on Thursday, December 10, reporting a wreck involving two semis on I-59 Northbound just before Exit 11 for Trenton.
Trenton Police, Dade Deputies and Trenton Fire responded to the scene. There were no injuries, but it was quite a while before I-59 was open again. The over flow on Highway 11 crippled traffic from Highway 11 North to the city, law enforcement said.
The accident was worked by the Trenton Police Department due to it occurring in the city limits of the interstate. It is still under investigation.
