With an estimated 99% of votes accounted for, Pastor Raphael Warnock, the incumbent Democratic Senator for Georgia will narrowly defeat Herschel Walker in the General Runoff election held December 6th. Warnock received roughly 51.5% of the votes to Walker’s 48.5%. (numbers are not exact until all votes are in)
In Dade County, votes from all seven precincts were cast overwhelmingly in favor of challenger Herschel Junior Walker. Of the 11,000+ registered voters, 5,100 cast ballots. Of those, 4,195 were for Walker with only 901 for Warnock.

Following the win, Democrats now control 51 seats in the Senate compared to the Republican’s 49.
This ends the 2022 midterm election cycle.
