TRENTON, GA — The Trenton-Dade Optimist Club, in partnership with the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police, proudly hosted its 20th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Ceremony on Tuesday evening, honoring the dedication and service of local law enforcement officers.
The event, held in Trenton, brought together community leaders, residents, and officers from across the region to recognize the vital role law enforcement plays in ensuring public safety. A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Officer of the Year award.
This year, the prestigious honor was awarded to Sgt. Thomas Williams of the Trenton City Police Department. Sgt. Williams was recognized for his outstanding commitment to duty, leadership, and positive impact within the community.
“We would like to congratulate all of our Officer of the Year nominees for their exemplary service,” said a representative from the Optimist Club. “A special congratulations goes to Sgt. Thomas Williams for being named Officer of the Year. His dedication to the citizens of Trenton sets a high standard for all.”
The ceremony also served as a reminder of the strong ties between the community and those who serve and protect it. The Trenton-Dade Optimist Club expressed its ongoing support for law enforcement and its appreciation for their continued efforts to keep Dade County safe.
