Trenton Commissioners to Discuss 2027 Budget, Tiny Homes and Sewer Expansion
The Trenton City Commissioners will take up several issues later this month, including the city’s 2027 budget, tiny-home regulations and new sewer lines.
The commission will hold its workshop and regular monthly meeting on Monday, September 14, beginning at 6:45 p.m. at Trenton City Hall.
During the workshop, commissioners are scheduled to discuss the 2027 city budget.
The board will also discuss changing the city’s minimum size requirement for tiny homes from 800 square feet to 500 square feet.
Another item on the agenda is a discussion concerning new sewer lines and sewer taps.
Commissioners will consider two SPLOST capital purchases: the purchase of a 2005 Kodiak dump truck and an emergency purchase of three air-conditioning units for the Community Center.
During the regular meeting, Mayor Joseph A. Case and commissioners will receive reports from the police, parks and recreation, fire and utilities, and streets departments.
Scheduled appearances include Dade County Public Library’s Lydia Soucy, Alliance for Dade’s Sandy White and Jane Dixon representing Tree City USA.
The commission may take action during the regular meeting on items discussed during the workshop.
