Trenton City Hall to Host Swearing-In and Special Called Meeting Thursday Night

TRENTON, Ga. — The City of Trenton will hold two public meetings Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Trenton City Hall.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with a brief Operational Meeting focused on swearing in newly elected officials. A Special Called Meeting follows at 6:30 p.m. to approve several items on the consent agenda from the City’s January 12 meeting, including department purchases and facility repairs.

Both meetings will be held at Trenton City Hall, 12882 North Main Street, in the City Hall meeting room.

6:00 PM – Operational Meeting (Swearing-In)

During the 6:00 p.m. meeting, the City is scheduled to swear in:

  • Mike Norris as Police Commissioner

  • Terry Powell as Parks and Recreation Commissioner

The meeting will adjourn following the swearing-in.

6:30 PM – Special Called Meeting

At 6:30 p.m., the City will hold a Special Called Meeting to approve items on the consent agenda from the January 12, 2026 meeting, including:

  • Approval of the January 12 agenda

  • Approval of previous meeting minutes (Dec. 8, 2025)

  • Purchase of a 2003 Spartan KME Pumper for the Fire Department

  • Purchase of a 2025 Ford F-150 Animal Control vehicle for the Police Department

  • Purchase of a dump trailer for Parks & Recreation

  • Replacement of plumbing in pool restrooms

Both meetings are open to the public and will take place at Trenton City Hall.
