Trenton Animal Shelter Gets Boost from Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation

Trenton’s city animal shelter is getting much-needed upgrades, thanks to a $5,000 cash donation and $3,000 in supplies from MuttNation, the nonprofit founded by country star Miranda Lambert.

The support came after Audray Luck of Luck’s Rescue posted an Amazon wishlist in local Facebook groups, highlighting the conditions at the shelter. Dogs were suffering due to a lack of cleanliness, and proper bedding.

Local residents quickly began donating, but some items remained. Amanda Terrell, a concerned citizen, reached out to several organizations—including MuttNation. After learning about the situation, MuttNation stepped in to cover the remaining wishlist items and provided funds to deep clean the shelter, replace chewed wood, and seal cinder block walls.

The donation not only brings immediate improvements but could also lead to future support. MuttNation offers grants, including a highly competitive $25,000 new shelter grant, which could become an option if the shelter shows progress and community involvement.

Luck hopes the shelter’s upgrades will inspire further support and prove that Trenton is committed to providing better care for its animals.
