Tractor Supply Coming to Dade County

A new retailer is on its way to Trenton.

County Executive Ted Rumley and Trenton Mayor Alex Case have confirmed that “the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States” has decided to open a location in Dade County.

Tractor Supply started out in 1938 as a mail order business in Chicago, IL founded by Charles E. Schmidt, Sr. It has since grown to a company that has, as of June 27, 2020, 1,881 stores in 49 states and an online retail site at www.TractorSupply.com.

According to their website, “Tractor Supply offers an extensive mix of products necessary to care for home, land, pets and animals with a focus on product localization, exclusive brands and legendary customer service that addresses the needs of the Out Here lifestyle.”

The new Tractor Supply Company location in Dade will be in Trenton, at the old Dyer car dealership that can be seen from I-59 in front of Dade Middle School. The company plans to demolish the current structure and build a new building.

More information about Tractor Supply Company and their new location will be shared through a press release from the company.
