The NWS has confirmed that a EFO Tornado briefly touch down Monday afternoon in Higdon AL on Sand Mountain. The Tornado stayed on the ground for just over a half of a mile first touching down just west of Jackson County rd 320.

A few trees were uprooted as the tornado moved east-southeast along County Road 320. A house on this road also sustained minor roof damage and a carport was destroyed.
