Slygo Road Bridge Over I-24 to Close Beginning February 23
DADE COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that the Slygo Road bridge over Interstate 24 will close beginning Monday, February 23, weather permitting.
The closure is part of an ongoing bridge replacement project. Crews will shut down the bridge to continue construction work, and the closure is expected to last up to 270 days — approximately nine months.

Detour Information
During the closure, a signed detour route will be in place.
To reach Slygo Road north of I-24:

Motorists will travel south on Slygo Road

Turn left onto Morganville Ridge Road

Travel east to State Route 58
-
Head north on SR 58
-
Turn west onto State Route 299
-
Return to Slygo Road
Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the work zone. Construction crews may be working near the roadway throughout the project.
