SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — A Scottsboro man was arrested on June 10 after police discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on John T. Reid Parkway.
Officers with the Scottsboro Police Department stopped 29-year-old Jeseup Keigan Southard in the 21000 block of the parkway. Upon contact, police confirmed Southard had an active warrant.
A search of Southard’s vehicle revealed 7.3 grams of methamphetamine, along with several pipes and hidden containers commonly used for drug concealment, according to the department.
Southard was taken into custody without incident and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was initially booked into the Scottsboro City Jail before being transferred to the Jackson County Jail.
