SCAM ALERT:
The Georgia Department of Driver Services is warning residents about a new text message scam that’s making the rounds.
Scammers are sending fake messages claiming to be from the “State DMV” about unpaid traffic tickets. The messages often include a link — but don’t click it.
These are fraudulent texts designed to steal your personal and financial information.
Here’s what you need to know:

Do NOT click on suspicious links

The DDS will never ask for payment via text message

If you receive one of these messages, delete it
