Henagar Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash Involving Tractor in DeKalb County
DEKALB COUNTY, AL — A tragic crash Monday morning claimed the life of a Henagar man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Avery L. Weathers, 61, was fatally injured when the 2008 Honda Shadow motorcycle he was riding collided with a John Deere farm tractor. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. on DeKalb County Road 134 near Alabama Highway 75, approximately four miles south of Ider.
Weathers was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol Division of ALEA is investigating the incident. No further details, including the condition of the tractor driver or the circumstances leading up to the crash, have been released at this time.
