North Sand Mountain School has released its official school supply lists for the 2026-27 school year, outlining the required classroom materials for students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
The lists include grade-specific supply requirements, teacher wish lists and several reminders for families before students return to school.
Pre-K
Pre-K students should bring:
- A full change of clothes in a large Ziplock bag labeled with the student’s first and last name.
- One 36×50-inch blanket for nap time (no pillows).
Optional classroom donations include:
- Baby wipes
- Clorox wipes
- Lysol spray
- Kleenex
- Germ-X
- Band-Aids
- Paper towels
- Ziplock bags (all sizes)
- Paper plates
- Expo markers and erasers
- Scotch tape
- Masking tape (all colors)

- Elmer’s glue
- Glue sticks
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will need:
- 4 glue sticks
- 4 boxes of Crayola crayons
- Scissors
- 3-ring binder pencil pouch
- 6 rolls of paper towels
- 1 package of wet wipes
- 2 containers of Clorox wipes
- 1 pack large chisel-tip dry erase markers
- 1 pack small dry erase markers
- 1 pack of yellow highlighters
- 1 sleeve of Play-Doh
Families are also asked to provide at least one of the following:
- Band-Aids
- Gallon Ziplock bags
- Sandwich Ziplock bags
The school asks parents not to write names on shared classroom supplies.
First Grade
First-grade students should bring:
- Reusable water bottle
- Pencil box
- 24 No. 2 pencils (USA Gold or Ticonderoga preferred)
- 4 boxes of 24-count Crayola crayons
- 10 glue sticks
- 1 red plastic folder with prongs
- 1 package of cap erasers
- 2 yellow highlighters
- 1 wide-ruled spiral notebook
- Headphones (not wireless)
- 1 pack baby wipes
- 2 rolls paper towels
- 2 boxes of tissue
- Clorox wipes
- 1 bottle of hand sanitizer

Second Grade

The school noted that West Bay Trucking Company has purchased all other required school supplies for second-grade students.

Teacher wish list:
- Boys: 1 pack baby wipes and 1 can Lysol spray
- Girls: 2-4 pack dry erase markers and 1 can Lysol spray
Students should place scissors, crayons and one glue stick inside their pencil box and write their name on everything. Stanley-style cups are not permitted because the lids are not secure.
Fifth and Sixth Grades
Students in grades five and six will need:
- 2 boxes colored pencils
- Glue sticks
- Wired over-ear headphones
- Three packs of 12 No. 2 pencils
- 5 packs wide-ruled notebook paper
- 10-pack Crayola markers
- 4 composition notebooks
- 3-ring binder (1.5 to 2 inches) with clear outside pockets

Locker rentals are available for $5. Students must use combination locks only, and provide the combination to Coach Ogle.
