The North Sand Mountain Bison are set to kick off the 2026 high school football season Friday night with a matchup against the Southeastern Mustangs.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern Time and 6 p.m. Central Time, with both teams entering the season opener with 0-0 records.
Friday night’s contest gives North Sand Mountain its first opportunity to take the field in regular-season action and establish some early momentum for the new campaign.
The Bison will look to get their offense going early while their defense faces its first test of the season against a Southeastern team also looking to begin 2026 with a victory.
With a full season still ahead, the opener provides both programs an opportunity to see how their offseason preparation translates to game action. For North Sand Mountain, a strong performance Friday night could provide an early confidence boost as the Bison move into the heart of their schedule.
