North Sand Mountain Lady Bison Win 2A State Championship
The North Sand Mountain Lady Bison are Alabama’s 2026 Class 2A Girls Basketball State Champions.
The Lady Bison defeated Hayden Wildcats 41–28 in the championship game at the AHSAA Class 2A Girls Basketball State Championship.
Leading the way for North Sand Mountain was Hayden Reyes, who was named Most Valuable Player of the championship game.
The victory caps off an outstanding season for the Lady Bison program and brings a state title back to North Sand Mountain High School.
Fans across Northeast Alabama and the Tri-State area celebrated the win as the Lady Bison dominated defensively and controlled the pace of the game to secure the championship.
The 41–28 victory officially crowns North Sand Mountain as the 2026 AHSAA Class 2A Girls State Champions.
