Missing DeKalb County Man Found Dead; No Signs of Foul Play

DEKALB COUNTY, AL — Authorities have confirmed that a missing DeKalb County man has been found deceased following a multi-agency search effort.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Carl Alan Bukley, who had been missing since March 13, was located on March 21, 2026 after an extensive search involving numerous local agencies and emergency responders.

Officials say Bukley was found deceased at his residence.

At this time, investigators report there are no obvious signs of foul play. However, the District Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit has been notified and an autopsy has been ordered.

Multiple agencies assisted in the search effort, including local fire departments, rescue squads, and emergency management teams from across DeKalb County.

Authorities also expressed appreciation for the community support and volunteers who assisted in the search.
