A recent addition to Trenton’s streets has drawn attention as a series of banners featuring historical buildings now adorn the town. Local artist Heidi Wilson, known for her work at Heidi Fawn Art and Design, is behind these paintings, contributing her talent to showcase the community’s historical charm.
Heidi Wilson’s involvement in the project has been well-received within Trenton. Her artwork captures the essence of the town’s historic structures, allowing residents and visitors to connect with the past visually.
The collaborative effort of Trenton’s City administration, including the Street Department and Street Commissioner Monda Wooten, made the banner project possible. The banners now offer a visual narrative of Trenton’s history, creating an outdoor exhibition accessible to all.
“The idea behind the banners was to blend history with art and showcase the town’s unique identity,” explained Street Commissioner Monda Wooten. “We wanted to acknowledge our roots while promoting local creativity.”
Under the hashtag #visitdadega, Trenton invites individuals to explore the town’s offerings. The banners, featuring historic landmarks, enhance Trenton’s appeal as a destination that encapsulates both heritage and creativity, catering to various interests among tourists and locals alike.
