Joint Work Session Scheduled Thursday Night in Dade County
A joint work session bringing together multiple local government and community entities is set for Thursday, March 26th at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will include participation from the Dade County Board of Commissioners, City of Trenton Commissioners, Dade County Schools, and several economic development organizations.
Key topics on the agenda include SPLOST and updates to the county’s comprehensive plan, both critical to guiding future growth and infrastructure planning.
Dade County Schools will present on K-12 funding and the impact of the system’s operating budget, along with FY26 capital and summer projects. School leaders will also highlight the upcoming Dade County High School Career Fair, scheduled for April 15th from 9 a.m. to noon, and discuss continued growth in the school system.
Economic development will be another major focus, with updates from the Industrial Development Authority, including discussions on infrastructure and workforce housing. Additional reports are expected from the Alliance for Dade and the Downtown Development Authority.
The session will also include input from the Dade County Water and Sewer Authority.
Officials say the joint work session is designed to encourage collaboration and coordination across agencies as Dade County plans for continued growth and investment.
