The National Weather Service is warning of high fire danger across parts of North Georgia this afternoon into the early evening. Relative humidity is expected to drop to 25% or lower for four or more hours, creating dry conditions.
Winds will be easterly at 7–12 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph, further increasing the risk of fire spread.
Residents are advised to exercise extreme caution if burning outdoors, as dry fuels and windy conditions make fire containment difficult.
