GSWCC Erosion and Sediment Control Certification Classes Coming to Dade County in October
Professionals involved in construction and land-disturbing activities will have an opportunity to earn or renew required erosion and sediment control certifications without leaving Dade County this October.
Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission certification classes will be held in the Upper Room of the Historic Courthouse in Trenton. The courses provide training on Georgia’s erosion and sediment control requirements and will include instruction followed by the required certification test.
A certification renewal class will be held Wednesday, October 7, for current Blue Card and Red Card holders. Blue Card, or Level 1A Fundamentals, renewal will be offered from 8 a.m. until noon. Red Card, or Level 1B Advanced Fundamentals, renewal will run from noon until 5 p.m. The cost is $125.
A new Blue Card certification class will be held Wednesday, October 14, for those seeking Level 1A certification for the first time. The full eight-hour course will run from 7:15 a.m. until 5 p.m. and costs $250. Lunch will be provided, and participants are asked to arrive early to complete required paperwork.
The deadline to register for either class is Tuesday, October 6.
