Georgia Military College (GMC) Preparatory School has announced Gavin Tierce as its new head football coach, as revealed in a statement released by the school on Wednesday. Tierce, a former Dade County graduate, currently serving as a history teacher, wrestling coach, and offensive line coach for the prep school football team, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “Being a head football coach has been a dream of mine since I first stepped on the field as a player. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to lead the Bulldogs and contribute to the lasting legacy of success at Georgia Military College Prep School. GMC is such an amazing and supportive community, and being a part of this family has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”

GMC highlighted Tierce’s positive rapport with GMC Prep students and emphasized that his appointment as head coach reflects the strong backing he has received from his coaching staff and players. Col. Amy Lee, Principal of GMC Prep School, expressed enthusiasm for Tierce’s leadership, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Coach Tierce as our new Head Football Coach. His dedication to our students both in the classroom and on the field is exemplary. We have full confidence in his ability to lead our football program to new heights.”

Tierce’s appointment marks the fourth change in head football coach at the prep school in the last decade. He will succeed Bobby Rhoades, who held the position for one season in 2023, during which the team posted a 3-7 record.
