Former Mayor of Trenton Arrested

A former mayor of Trenton has been arrested. 78 year old Anthony Emanuel was arrested on Friday, July 7th. According to Dade County authorities, he has been charged with one count of Child Molestation.

Emanuel first ran for mayor in 2003 and held the position until 2008. At that time, he stepped down to launch an unsuccessful bid for the Dade County executive seat. Winning the 2011 Mayoral election, Emanuel then returned to the seat in 2012 until 2015 when he lost his reelection bid.

The former mayor is still currently in the Dade County Jail awaiting a bond hearing in front of a Superior Court Judge. No other details have been released at this time.
