TRENTON, Ga. — Food City will celebrate the grand re-opening of its Trenton store on October 8, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. and special pricing throughout the day.
The remodel adds nearly 12,000 square feet of sales space and a slate of new conveniences: a Starbucks café, a Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union branch, and a drive-thru pharmacy window. The food service area now features a fresh food bar, hickory-smoked offerings, made-to-order sushi, a fireplace, and guest internet access. Meat and seafood departments have been upgraded with new service cases.
Online shoppers can continue to use curbside pickup, DoorDash, and home delivery. The expansion also brings 60 new jobs to the area.
Food City President and CEO Steven C. Smith said customers will see the same friendly team and value they expect, plus “exciting new services and conveniences.” Store Manager Brooke Sealsleas thanked shoppers for their patience during construction and said the upgrades were “well worth the wait.”
