A fire on Thursday afternoon resulted in the loss of a home in the Davis Community on Sand Mountain.
The call to 911 was made a little before 1:30 pm on October 8 reporting a house on fire with flames showing.
Davis, Trenton, and New Home Fire departments responded to the fire at 2764 Brow Road. Trenton Assistant Fire Chief Ansel Smith said the home was fully engulfed when fire personnel got on scene, but the residents were out and had gotten all their animals out.
The scene was cleared between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by county authorities.
