A single-car crash turned fatal on Thursday on GA 136 near Sunset Drive.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, at around 4:30 pm Troopers responded to a single-vehicle, two-passenger crash. A Ford Mustang, driven by Christian Collins, age 53, was traveling East on GA 136 at a high rate of speed, when he lost control and traveled off the roadway. Collins suffered fatal injuries. Passenger Curtis Elliot was ejected from the vehicle. Elliot was air-lifted to Erlanger Hospital. Neither man were wearing seatbelts during the time.
Authorities are still investigating the incident and the above information is currently listed as unofficial.
