The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has announced a temporary closure of its offices for the week of January 5 through January 9 due to increased illness.
Officials say the decision was made to help protect the health and safety of staff members as well as the community during a time when sickness is circulating.
Despite the office closures, emergency services will remain available. Residents who need immediate assistance or wish to make a report are instructed to call 911.
Those seeking a pistol permit can continue to do so online by visiting www.dekalbcountysheriff.org.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for its continued support and understanding during the temporary closure.
