DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A DeKalb County man is facing multiple serious charges, including animal cruelty and domestic violence, following two separate incidents that led to a tragic outcome for a family pet and gunfire that endangered others.

According to court records, Vincent York was allegedly involved in a physical altercation that escalated when he fired shots into two separate homes. The details of the confrontation and whether anyone was injured in the shooting have not been released.

In a separate criminal complaint, authorities say York also chained a dog outside with no access to food or water. The animal later became entangled in trash and was left struggling for days. Tragically, the dog died before animal control officers discovered it three days later.

York has been charged with animal cruelty and domestic violence, and is currently being held in the DeKalb County jail on a $4,000 bond.

No further details about court dates or potential additional charges have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
