David Carroll Recounts Dade History at Alliance for Dade Lunch & Learn

The Alliance for Dade, Dade’s Chamber of Commerce, hosted a Lunch & Learn Thursday, August 5th. Over 50 members of the community, including investors in the Alliance, attended the luncheon.

Special guest speaker David Carroll (Evening Anchor at WRCB CH 3) spent some time orating the history of Dade County and the greater Chattanooga area from his own perspective. Carroll is the longest running news anchor in Chattanooga history; recipient of such awards as Alabama Press Association’s Best Humorous Column of 2020, Chattanooga’s Best Columnist/Reporter AND TV Personality, a 2020 Edward R. Murrow award for hard news reporting, amongst many others

After his speech, Superintendent Josh Ingle presented Carroll with a Certificate of Excellence for his long time coverage of the Dade County School System.

Alliance Chairman George Williams announced that Kathleen Reed stepped down as past President, and presented her with a Certificate of Excellence for her integral part in the reformation of Dade’s Chamber of Commerce, The Alliance for Dade.
