Dade County Sheriffs office has posted yet another scam alert.
SCAM ALERT!!!
These are circulating our area, and are similar to other scam check scams.
IF YOU’RE NOT EXPECTING MONEY FROM AN ORGANIZATION YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH, DO NOT CASH THE CHECK!!
Unfortunately, these seem to be targeting elderly citizens. Please talk to any of your neighbors and/or elderly friends, and let them know not to fall for this.
