Dade voters will be asked to return to the poles for a E-SPLOST in March.

In less than two weeks after a run off election in Georgia, Dade County voters will be asked to go back to the poles in March. The Dade County Board of Education met Friday January 15th, and passed a resolution calling for the continuation of the E-SPLOST in Dade County. If approved by the voters it would be a continuation of a 1 cent sales tax that would raise up to 16 million dollars over the next 6 years for the purpose of capital improvements for the Dade Country School system.

The special election will be held on March 16th, we have included below the entire resolution outlining the special projects that will be included if approved by the voters. The school board also intends within this vote to bond up to 10 million in advance of the collection.
