Dade Middle School officials say swift action was taken Monday after a student made a statement referencing a potential threat of school violence.
According to school administrators, the situation was addressed immediately in coordination with the Trenton City Police Department and the Dade County Sheriff’s Office. The student involved was not allowed on campus while the matter is under investigation.
Principal Rhonda Bradford emphasized that the safety of students, faculty, and the community remains the school’s highest priority. She credited local law enforcement for their quick response and support.
Authorities have confirmed that there is no immediate danger to students or staff. The investigation is being handled by local law enforcement, with school officials continuing to work closely alongside them.
School leaders also encouraged families and students to report any safety concerns promptly to school officials or authorities.
“We remain committed to maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment for every member of our school community,” Bradford said.
