TRENTON, GA — Dade Middle School’s golf team put on a strong showing at the NGAC Tournament held Monday, April 28, at Windstone Golf Course, finishing fifth in a competitive field of nine schools.
Saddle Ridge took top honors with a team score of 181, followed by Ringgold (189) and Heritage (192) in second and third place, respectively. Trion placed fourth with 194, just ahead of Dade’s score of 201. Gordon Lee finished sixth (204), while Lafayette and Lakeview tied for seventh (225). Chatt Valley rounded out the standings in ninth place with 243.
The tournament featured standout individual performances, with Saddle Ridge’s Lyla Silecchia earning low female medalist honors with an impressive round of 38. Gavin Grant of Ringgold claimed the title of low male scorer, carding a 41.
Dade’s golfers represented their school and community with pride, with three players achieving season-best rounds. Landon Abercrombie led the team with a 49, followed closely by Ella McBryar (50) and RJ Burick (51). Hallett Ingle also contributed with a 51, while Whit Wadkins and Hazel Grace Taylor posted scores of 52 and 54, respectively.

Capping off the day’s success, Landon Abercrombie was named to the All-Region Team, highlighting a strong individual season and a noteworthy accomplishment for Dade Middle’s golf program.
