Dade Is Set To Have Two Public Hearings This Week On Milliage Rate

Dade County is projected to collect an additional $368,091 in property tax revenue this year, reflecting a 7.13% increase in the county’s tax digest.

Despite the revenue growth, the millage rate will remain unchanged at 7.7500. County officials note that the increase is the result of rising property values and a growing tax base — not a rate hike.

As part of the annual process, the county has also released the five-year history of the Dade County tax digest, giving residents a transparent look at changes in assessed values, millage rates, and total taxes levied over time.

Public Hearing Schedule

The Board of Commissioners will hold three public hearings in August to review and adopt the 2025 millage rate:

  • August 20 – 11:00 AM & 6:00 PM

  • August 27 – 4:00 PM

  • August 27 – 4:30 PM (Special Called Meeting to adopt rate)

  • August 28 – 10:30 AM (Meeting to authorize school millage, if available)

📍 All hearings will take place at the Dade County Administrative Building.

Tax bills are scheduled to be mailed by September 16, with a payment deadline of November 15, 2025
