Families with students attending Dade Elementary School can now begin preparing for the upcoming school year after the school released its 2026-2027 school supply lists for every grade level, from Pre-K through fifth grade.

The lists outline the classroom essentials students will need when they return to school later this summer, while also giving parents plenty of time to shop before classes begin.

Supply requirements vary by grade level, but many students will need common classroom items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, tissues, disinfectant wipes and headphones for classroom technology.

Pre-K students are asked to bring a full-size book bag, a complete change of clothes in a labeled zip-top bag, a small pillow and blanket for nap time, a water bottle and a family photo. Parents are also encouraged to donate classroom items such as disinfectant wipes, tissues, soap, baby wipes and storage bags.

Kindergarten students will need supplies including a binder, crayons, glue, pencils, watercolor paints, headphones and a foldable plastic nap mat. Teachers noted that additional classroom-specific supplies may be requested after the school year begins.

First-grade students are asked to bring headphones, crayons, markers, glue sticks, tissues, disinfectant wipes and other classroom basics. Teachers will also send home letters detailing any additional classroom needs.

Second-grade students will need binders, notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, headphones, scissors and other standard school supplies. Several optional donation items, including copy paper, markers, bandages and paper towels, are also welcomed.

Third-grade students will need backpacks, binders, sheet protectors, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, pencils, crayons, headphones, glue sticks, tissues and Clorox wipes. Teachers have also created a classroom wish list that includes items such as printer paper, laminating sheets, masking tape and individually wrapped candy.

Fourth-grade students should bring composition notebooks, folders, pencils, dry-erase markers, glue sticks, crayons, colored pencils, index cards, headphones, tissues and disinfectant wipes. The school’s wish list includes masking tape, cardstock, printer paper and bandages.

Fifth-grade students are asked to bring binders, notebooks, headphones, dry-erase markers, pencils, highlighters, colored pencils, glue sticks, Clorox wipes, tissues and notebook paper. Teachers also welcome donations of extra classroom supplies and monetary contributions to help support classroom needs.

School officials encourage families to label personal items with their child’s name whenever requested and review the grade-specific supply lists carefully, as requirements differ from one classroom to another.

By releasing the supply lists well before the start of the school year, Dade Elementary hopes to give parents ample time to gather the necessary materials and help students arrive ready for a successful 2026-2027 academic year.
