Dade County, GA- An amazing Public Servant passed away Monday, March 10, 2025. Captain David Duvall is remembered as a staple to the Dade County Sheriff Department, and he dedicated the majority of his adult life to the citizens of this community.

After finishing up his service in the US Air Force, he joined the Dade County Sheriff’s Office in 1989, where he eventually rose to the rank of Captain. During his 30+ year career at Dade, he was tasked at different times to supervise the jail, court services, and the school resource division.

During his final years of his service here at DCSO, he supervised the SRO and Court Services division, where he made an unimaginable difference in the lives of many Dade County students, primarily at Dade County High School. He finished his career at Trenton PD, and would likely still be serving our community, had his health allowed it.

He leaves behind a large family, and an even larger law enforcement family. The impact he’s made at our sheriff’s office will be felt for many more years, and he will be missed tremendously.
