Dade County School Nutrition Continues Free Summer Meals Program for Children
TRENTON, GA — Dade County School Nutrition is continuing its summer meal program throughout June, helping ensure local children have access to nutritious meals while school is out of session.
The program is available at no cost to all children 18 years of age and younger and takes place each Wednesday at Dade Elementary School, located at 306 Wolverine Drive in Trenton.
Families can pick up five days’ worth of breakfast and lunch meals every Wednesday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., while supplies last.
School officials say the summer meal program is designed to help bridge the gap for families during the summer months and provide children with reliable access to healthy meals when school cafeterias are closed.
The program is open to all eligible children in the community, regardless of school enrollment status.
Parents and guardians with questions about the summer meals program can contact Dade County School Nutrition at 706-657-4361.
Dade County School Nutrition encourages families to take advantage of the program and help ensure children remain well-fed and ready for a healthy summer.
