Dade County Opening Community Storm Shelters Tonight
DADE COUNTY, GA — Due to severe storms expected to move into the area late Sunday night and early Monday morning, Dade County officials will open community storm shelters tonight for residents who need a safe place during the storms.
Officials say the shelters will remain open through the overnight severe weather threat.
Residents using the shelters are reminded to bring any items they may need if they must remain there for an extended period, including food, water, medications, and personal necessities.
For safety and security, all shelters are monitored by cameras.

All shelters are FEMA-approved and designed to withstand winds up to 250 miles per hour.
