Dade County Lights Up Pink in Honor of Dolly Parton

Downtown Trenton is glowing pink this week as Dade County pays tribute to country music legend and philanthropist Dolly Parton.

In honor of Dolly, the lights surrounding the Historic Dade County Courthouse and Veterans Park on the town square have been changed to pink, creating a special nighttime display in the heart of Trenton. Dade County identifies Veterans Park and the Historic Courthouse as facilities located around the town square.

The pink lights will remain on for the rest of the week, giving residents and visitors several opportunities to see the tribute.

Those traveling through Trenton are encouraged to drive by after dark and see the courthouse and Veterans Park illuminated in Dolly’s signature pink.

The local tribute comes as communities and organizations across Tennessee and the region honor Parton’s life, music, philanthropy and lasting impact. Dollywood and Parton’s hometown of Sevierville have also announced new tributes celebrating her legacy.

For Dade County, it’s a simple but colorful way to join in honoring a woman whose music and generosity touched generations.
