Dade County, GA — Over the past several weeks, Dade County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Jail Officers have utilized inmate workers to tackle litter along right-of-ways across the county—collecting hundreds of pounds of garbage in the process.

This community service initiative has focused on improving the appearance and cleanliness of public spaces throughout Dade County. On Monday alone, inmate workers collected an impressive 63 bags of trash from Wells Road, underscoring both the scale of the problem and the effectiveness of the cleanup efforts.

While the DCSO is proud to provide this service, officials are urging residents to take an active role in keeping the county clean.

“We don’t mind staying busy,” the Sheriff’s Office shared, “but we ask that you help us keep our beautiful county clean and discard your trash in the appropriate places.”

The Sheriff’s Office encourages citizens to report illegal dumping and to properly dispose of waste to preserve the natural beauty of the area for all to enjoy.
