Dade County High School is inviting the community to celebrate Homecoming with its annual parade, bonfire and community pep rally Thursday evening.
The Homecoming Parade will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bank of Dade. The DCHS Band will lead Homecoming representatives, athletic teams and floats down Main Street, around the square and toward the traffic light near CVS.
This year’s parade route will be slightly different due to a change in location for the Homecoming bonfire. Once the parade reaches CVS, participants will turn right and then make another right onto Wolverine Drive near Hardee’s.
Following the parade, the Homecoming bonfire and community pep rally will be held at the old baseball field next to Dade Elementary School.
The celebration will feature the DCHS Band performing fight songs, along with cheers led by the school’s cheerleaders. Dade County head football coach Jeff Poston and several senior football players are also scheduled to speak during the pep rally.
Students, families, alumni and other members of the community are encouraged to come out and take part in the Homecoming festivities as Dade County celebrates the Wolverines.
