TRENTON, GA — Authorities have now identified the teenager who was fatally struck by a train Monday morning in Trenton. The victim has been confirmed as Manuel Tucker Campbell, a student at Dade County High School.
The tragic accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on July 7, beneath the Highway 136 East overpass. According to a spokesperson for the City of Trenton, Campbell was walking along the railroad tracks when he was hit by a train. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tucker was born on March 2, 2009 in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, to Alisha Campbell. He was a rising sophomore at Dade County High School where he played football and ran track. He loved Star Wars, playing Fortnite, and had a great sense of humor. Tucker had a special way of letting his family and friends know he cared about them by giving them a hug and telling them that he loved them. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, James & Jewel Clark, Manuel Royce & Olene Campbell, & Ronnie Gibson, uncle, Ben Gibson, and cousin, Chandler Wallace.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandparents, Jimmy & Kathy Clark; mother, Alisha Campbell; custodial aunt & uncle, Nic & Beth Gibson; aunts & uncles, Patricia Brackett, James Clark, & Amanda Clark; sister, Aubrey Massingill; cousins, Kai Clark, Kamryn Brackett, Zoie, Bella, & Jasper Gibson, Ryder, Whitaker, & Stella Clark; the Gibson & Wallace families.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11th at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Wooten officiating. Tucker will be laid to rest in New Home Baptist Cemetery. His cousins, Kamryn Brackett, Kai Clark, Ryder Clark, & Jasper Gibson, best friends, J.J. Curtis & Nolan Ingram, will serve as pallbearers. Whitaker Clark & Joe Daniel will be honorary pallbearers.
