The Dade County High School Wolverines got an early confidence boost Friday night, defeating Chattanooga Prep 18-14 in a preseason scrimmage at Finley Stadium.
Dade County’s offense found the end zone three times, while the Wolverines’ defense held Chattanooga Prep to 14 points to secure the four-point victory.
Although the result will not count toward the regular-season standings, the scrimmage provided Dade County’s coaches with an opportunity to evaluate players in game situations and identify areas for improvement before the season officially begins.
The Wolverines will now look to build on the performance as they continue preparations for the upcoming season.
