Dade County Commission Moves to Improve Air Pack Replacement for All Volunteer Fire Departments

The Dade County Board of Commissioners met for their monthly meeting Thursday, November 4th. Executive Ted Rumley was unable to attend, so the meeting was run by Vice Chair Robert Goff.

Notably, the commissioners moved to approve funds to replace air packs for all volunteer fire departments in the area. The current packs were set to go out-of-compliance in January, 2022. Three Explorer Utility Police Interceptor Vehicles and a new interrogation room were approved for law enforcement, as well.

Also during the meeting, the commission reappointed a number of people to governmental positions, including;

Alcoholic Beverage Control Board – Dorayne Stephens

Board of Assessors – Donny Williams

Board of Health – Verenice Hawkins

Limestone Valley RC&D Board – John Case

NWG Regional Commission – Peter Cervelli
