A home football game between Dade County High School and Mt.Zion out of Carrollton is scheduled for this Friday night. Dade Athletic Director Brent Cooper has released the guidelines to be followed by those attending the game.
The announcement from Cooper reads as follows:
“Wolverine Fans,
We hope to see you Friday night as the Dade County Wolverines take on the Mt. Zion Eagles of Carrollton, Georgia. We understand that, depending on which state or stadium you attend, you will find a different set of guidelines, some more lenient, some more strict. Our administration has put much thought into providing a safe environment for our students and community as a whole. While we’ve done well keeping our positive numbers down and being able to have school this year, we certainly do not want the reasoning for a COVID outbreak to be because we let our guard down at a home football event. Please click the link below to view the guidelines for Friday night. Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting Dade County Athletics!! Go Wolverines!!”
The link led to the list of guidelines pictured above which includes temperature checks as fans enter the gates and no passes out of the stadium once you have entered, masks worn when entering and exiting the stadium and masks worn in areas where social distancing is difficult such as concessions, restrooms, and at the ticket booth. Also included in wearing masks is anyone on the sideline like media, photographer, and members of the DCHS video team who must wear them all the time. School officials are asking that people not congregate in front of concession stands or anywhere else, but go straight to their seat and to maintain social distancing.
Limited seating will be available due to social distancing and those attending the game are being asked not to sit on areas of the bleachers with black tape and gold taped sections are for students only.
Other practices for reducing possible exposures to COVID can be found on the guidelines list above.
