Dade County Announces “Station Talk” SPLOST Meetings Across Community
Dade County officials are continuing their community outreach efforts in April with a new series of in-person “Station Talk” meetings focused on SPLOST.
The meetings follow the county’s recent “Coffee Talk” sessions held in February and March, which officials say were well received by residents.
The April meetings are designed to bring conversations directly into local communities, giving residents an opportunity to learn more about SPLOST, ask questions, and share feedback with county commissioners and staff.
Meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern at fire stations and community locations across the county.
April Meeting Schedule:
- April 7 – Davis Storm Shelter
- April 9 – South Dade Fire Hall
- April 13 – New Home Fire Hall
- April 27 – West Brow Fire Hall
- April 28 – New Salem Fire Hall
Additional meetings in Wildwood and Trenton will be announced at a later date.
County officials say the goal of the series is to increase transparency, improve accessibility, and ensure residents have a clear understanding of how SPLOST works and how it impacts the community.
In May, the county will conclude the outreach effort with “SPLOST Talk: Online Q&A” sessions, providing another opportunity for residents to participate from home.
More details, including additional meeting information and online session access, are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
