Dade Continues to Have the Lowest Unemployment in the Region as Unemployment Rates Continue to Drop

July unemployment numbers are in and Dade continues to lead the region with the lowest unemployment rate while unemployment rates approach pre-COVID numbers.

July’s unemployment numbers show Dade at 4.5% with Catoosa at 4.8%, Chattooga at 8.7%, Walker at 5.2%, and Whitfield at 7.9%. The state’s unemployment rate remained the same as it was in June at 7.6%, but is still 2.6 points lower than the national rate.

The numbers are gradually approaching the unemployment numbers Dade was seeing in January of this year when the unemployment rate was at 3.3%.
