The City of Trenton hosted their regular January meeting, Monday January 9th.
During the meeting, much conversation focused on the upcoming City/County Animal Shelter project that the citizens of Trenton and Dade County have been requesting on SPLOST elections for over a decade. Both County and City officials agreed during their recent joint-meeting that priorities will be made to break ground on the project by April 2023.
The City has decided to place Commissioner Monda Wooten, long-time supporter of animal rights and safety in Trenton, and Commissioner Terry Powell on the sub-committee over the shelter project.
