The City of Trenton is now accepting applications for an Operator/Laborer position in its Public Works Department.
Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass both a drug screening and background check. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
The role requires the ability to operate large equipment, including backhoes, track hoes, and other machinery. In addition, responsibilities will include mowing and weeding sidewalks, brush pickup, roadway repair, and ditch cleanup. City officials noted the job involves a significant amount of manual labor.
Those interested may pick up applications at Trenton City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The deadline to submit applications is Tuesday, October 8.
